Melina’s passion for storytelling led her to pursue a college degree in Communications, Film & Video. Seeking to deepen her understanding of the craft, she ventured to Cuba to study Scene Directing, immersing herself in the rich cultural landscape of the Caribbean. Further expanding her horizons, Melina also studies Experimental Film in London, where she honed her skills and developed her unique artistic voice.
She has cultivated an international reputation as an engaging director and creative producer, leaving her mark on the film industry across Brazil, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the United States. Her work has resonated with audiences and critics alike, earning her a place among the most promising filmmakers of her generation.

Beyond her directing achievements, Melina is known for her instrumental role in establishing one of the most democratic and significant film festivals and markets for children in Southern Brazil, the Florianópolis Children’s Film Festival.
